Cuba, which has undergone new legal and legislative processes in the past five years regarding its economic model, has windows of opportunities in this kind of events.
“And today they even exceed expectations due to the growth of ties between State enterprises and the new forms of management, and the productive chain itself,” Tania Rodriguez, director of the Territorial Delegation of the Cuban Chamber of Commerce in Camagüey and Ciego de Avila, told Prensa Latina.
The halls of the fairgrounds of this city will welcome more than 70 exhibitors until Friday, in a program that highlights business rounds and visits by investors in the tourism sector.
Precisely Camagüey, Cuba’s largest province, has several investment projects in this area.
“We can see here several companies in this sector exhibiting their products and services, which, in addition to expanding, allow us to expand the possibilities to reduce imports,” Rodriguez said.
The use of raw materials, many of which are endogenous to the territory, and which are aimed at the development of Cuba’s largest province, characterizes those present at Expocam, where the participation of institutions such as the University of Camagüey stands out, due to its ties with small enterprises.
