The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MIREX) told reporters in Luanda that the initiative responds to the activities inherent to the Southern African Development Community (SADC), of which both countries are members.

The delegation is headed by Leshele Thuashane, representative of the Kingdom of Lesotho in the SADC Electoral Advisory Council, who met with Angolan Foreign Minister Tete Antonio on Wednesday.

The visitors will meet with representatives of several sectors of society to observe on site the progress of the electoral process, the MIREX stated.

Thuashane and his accompanying delegation were briefed at the Foreign Ministry on Wednesday about the results so far of the registration of residents abroad in view of the upcoming general elections.
