Through his Twitter account, the head of Cuban diplomacy congratulated workers of the sector on the occasion of the Press Day on the island.

“With Marti’s ethics as the path of Cuban journalism, #HacemosPatria in the face of those who do not cease in their efforts to destroy the Revolution,” added Rodriguez.

Cuba celebrates Press Day in the context of the 130th anniversary of the founding of newspaper Patria by National Hero Jose Marti, at the request of patriots based in New York. In all provinces, initiatives are developed in which outstanding workers of the different media are recognized.

The Press Day celebration will end with an international colloquium dedicated to the newspaper Patria, to be held today and tomorrow, with the participation of journalists from media outlets and leftist institutions around the world, as well as academics, political and social actors from several countries.
