More than six million Cubans with Covid-19 booster vaccine

Havana, Mar 14 (Prensa Latina) A total of 6,101,803 people in Cuba have already received the fourth Covid-19 booster vaccine, a number that represents 55,1% of the country´s inhabitants (11,300,000 approximately).

With these numbers, Cuba leads the world in the number of booster doses administered per population, according to data as of March 13 from the Oxford University’s statistics website, Our World In Data.

According to the website of the Cuban Ministry of Public Health, 35,167,920 doses have already been administered with the Soberana 02, Soberana plus and Abdala vaccines.

Of this total, 10,619,886 people have received at least one injection, a figure which includes those recovered from the disease, immunized with a single administration of Soberana Plus.

There are 9,383,027 people with a second dose and 9,062,693 with a third dose.

A total of 9,896,151 Cubans are fully vaccinated, which represents 89,3% of the entire population.

Other data from Our World In Data also place Cuba in first place in the table of doses of Covid-19 vaccine administered per 100 people. The digital portal refers that the figures are 310,6.
