Cuban deputy foreign minister pays working visit to Turkey

Ankara, Mar 15 (Prensa Latina) Cuban Deputy Foreign Minister Anayansi Rodriguez paid a working visit to Turkey, where she participated in the 2nd Antalya Diplomacy Forum, diplomatic sources reported here on Tuesday

The forum was held from March 11-13 in this coastal resort, and the head of the Cuban delegation held an intense and positive bilateral agenda that included meetings with national authorities.

Rodriguez met with Minister of Tourism and Culture Mehemt Nury Ersoy; Deputy Foreign Minister Sedat Onal, and the chairman of the Committee on Foreign Affairs of the Grand National Assembly, Akif Cagatay Kilic, among other senior officials.

She also met with Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu, who expressed satisfaction with Cuba’s participation in the forum.

The Cuban official also held talks with foreign ministers of Venezuela, Iraq, Equatorial Guinea, Sierra Leone and Seychelles, as well as with other political leaders invited to the event.

The forum was organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Turkey in order to prompt debates about key aspects of current diplomacy, as a path for the peaceful solution to international conflicts, according to its organizers.

Participants from 75 countries, including 17 heads of State and Government, 80 ministers and representatives of 39 international organizations attended the forum.
