Cuban ambassador presents credential letters to Mexican President

Mexico, Mar 16 (Prensa Latina) The head of the Cuban diplomatic mission in Mexico, Marcos Rodríguez Costa, today presented to President Andrés Manuel López Obrador the credentials that accredit him as extraordinary and plenipotentiary ambassador to this country.

In a solemn ceremony at the National Palace, Rodríguez Costa highlighted the historic ties of brotherhood and solidarity that our peoples and governments have forged, as well as the willingness to work to promote economic, commercial and cooperation ties in areas of mutual interest.

He highlighted the importance of President López Obrador’s upcoming visit to Cuba and the multiple displays of friendship and affection professed by Cubans, in response to Mexico’s solidarity during the most difficult moments of the Covid-19 pandemic.

The head of the Cuban mission assured the president he would find in Cuba a dignified and proud people, defender of its sovereignty and principles, immersed in its economic development and in the construction of a more just and inclusive society, with all and for the good of all.
