Russia: Arms supply to Ukraine could have dangerous consequences

Moscow, March 17 (Prensa Latina) The spokeswoman for the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, warned that the supply of weapons by the United States to Ukraine is a destabilizing factor and could have dangerous consequences.

The official stressed that such actions will not bring peace to Ukraine, commenting on the request of its president, Vladimir Zelensky, to the US Congress to deliver S-300 anti-aircraft missile systems as an alternative to the introduction of a no-fly zone in Ukraine.

According to Zakharova, Zelensky’s statement is in line with his thoughtless and heartless policy towards his own people and against Ukraine.

The Foreign Ministry spokeswoman denounced that Ukraine’s diplomatic missions in other countries are recruiting foreigners to participate in hostilities against Russia.

Members of “Zelensky’s volunteer foreign corps”, as Zakharova called them, arrive in Ukraine mainly through Poland.

In Zakharova’s words, these mercenaries travel to the country “under the auspices and with the direct leadership of people who will not think about the fate of the Ukrainian people or Ukraine.”

Most of them, by accepting their entry into that group, confirm their commitment to the “ideals” of Ukrainian neo-Nazism and its anti-Russian charge.
