Xi to recall Biden about China’s position on bilateral ties, Ukraine

Beijing, Mar 18 (Prensa Latina) President Xi Jinping will stress China's position on the relations with the United States and the conflict between Russia and Ukraine, when he talks with his counterpart Joe Biden on Friday, an official source stated.

A Government official told Global Times that the president will emphasize that Beijing will never accept threats or coercion from Washington regarding the crisis in Ukraine, as well as its resolution to respond if its interests are damaged.

Xi will urge Biden to honor his word not to seek a Cold War, try to change China’s system, form alliances against it, support Taiwan’s independence or cause conflicts.

The source called on the United States “not to have any illusions or miscalculations,” deplored the disinformation about China’s role in the Russia-Ukraine crisis and demanded that the US assume responsibility for the situation.
