China to supply more humanitarian aid to Ukraine

China, Ucrania, ayuda, solución, pacífica
Beijing, Mar 21 (Prensa Latina) China announced sending a second shipment of humanitarian aid to Ukraine, and reiterated its concern about the damage to civilians in the conflict and advocating a peaceful resolution.

Foreign Ministry spokesman Wang Wenbin said the new batch of products is worth 10 million yuan (1.5 million USD) and is part of Beijing’s proposals to prevent a humanitarian crisis in Ukraine.

A few days ago, the Red Cross of China transferred food and essential materials estimated at five million yuan (almost 800 thousand dollars) to Ukraine.

According to Wang, China will continue to play a constructive role to end the tensions between Kiev and Moscow, as its position is in favor of a peaceful solution and respect for the Charter of the United Nations Organization.

He called on the international community to support negotiations between the parties to the conflict, and called on the United States and NATO to conduct talks with Russia about their security concerns.

“A long-term solution implies mutual respect among the great powers, abandoning the Cold War mentality, not engaging in confrontation, and gradually building a regional and global security architecture that is balanced, effective and sustainable,” he added.
