Cuban doctors in Ghana debated on Family Code

Accra, Mar 21 (Prensa Latina) Cuban doctors in Ghana analyzed the project for a new Family Code in their country, currently submitted to popular consultation, Anette Chao, Cuban ambassador in this African nation, reported.

According to what she told Prensa Latina, this second meeting was attended by health professionals located in the city of Ho, capital of the Volta region, in eastern Ghana.

Their presence in this African country, she said, is in response to a cooperation agreement signed by the two states in 2021.

Among the most debated topics were the different types of violence and affective relationships, explained Chao, who is president of the electoral commission of constituency constituted in Accra last January 24 to organize, direct and validate the popular consultation and the future referendum on the Family Code in Cuba.

It only remains to hold an analysis meeting in the city of Tamale, in the north-central zone, where there are also cooperants from the island, she explained.

On March 1, Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez informed, through his Twitter account, that 125 electoral district commissions would guarantee the organization and development of 1,160 meetings in the country’s state missions abroad with a view to the current democratic exercise.
