United Arab Emirates and Cuba seek to boost relations

Dubai, March 23 (Prensa Latina) The United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Cuba today sought a new impetus to their bilateral relations during a meeting between representatives of both governments on the sidelines of Expo Dubai 2020, which will conclude on March 31st.

The Minister of State for Foreign Trade of the UAE, Thani bin Ahmed al Zeyoudi, received on Wednesday the Deputy Minister of Foreign Trade and Investment of Cuba, Déborah Rivas.

“They agreed on new joint actions to continue promoting bilateral relations,” exposed the Cuban side in a tweet.

The day before, Rivas presented projects to be developed with foreign capital in various sectors during a meeting with directors of the United Arab Emirates Sovereign Fund, including the Executive Director of Traditional Infrastructure Saed Arar.

The Caribbean nation participates with a stand at Expo Dubai, where it promotes part of its culture and traditions, as well as opportunities for goods and services.
