Gradual increase of Covid-19 cases in Cuba

Havana, Mar 24 (Prensa Latina) The Ministry of Public Health (Minsap) reported on Thursday that in the last 24 hours, 877 people were detected with Covid-19, a figure that shows a gradual increase in the number of contagions in Cuba.

Cuba’s Molecular Biology laboratories performed 13,800 PCR tests in real time to find the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus.

There are 3,486 active cases in Cuba, 3,468 have a stable clinical evolution, and 18 people remain in intensive care units, including 5 in a critical condition and 13 who are seriously ill.

The total number of recovered cases reached to 1,072,515 after 824 patients were clinically discharged, and 1,084,568 cases have been reported since the outbreak of the pandemic in March 2020.

No deaths were reported on Thursday and the death toll is 8,508.
