Yemeni president urges to activate relations with Cuba (+Photo)

Riyadh, March 24 (Prensa Latina) Yemeni President Abdrabbuh Mansour Hadi on Thursday urged to activate bilateral and friendly relations with Cuba, upon receiving the credentials of the Cuban Ambassador Vladimir Andrés González Quesada.

In the meeting, the Yemeni president welcomed the Cuban diplomat and told him to carry out his duties in order to strengthen solidarity cooperation between both parties.

Abdrabbuh Mansour Hadi referred to Yemen´s latest events closely related to current situation and peace efforts, as well as its possible perspectives based on resolutions of international legitimacy.

In this regard, he heaped praise on Cuba’s support and highlighted the strengthening of cooperation for the benefit of all. “We emphasize the significance of peace and our adherence to options.

We have made great sacrifices for the good of the Yemeni people and the establishment of a just and sustainable peace, not a transitory peace,” he assured.

Mr. Hadi also urged world countries to strengthen economic and development support for the legitimate government and called for halting the war in Yemen.

The Yemeni president also pointed out the importance of strengthening paths of association and fruitful cooperation in light of present circumstances his nation is going through as a result of the coup by the Houthi militia.
