It is the sixth PCC territorial meeting held in the country, and it is also attended by members of the party’s Political Bureau and the Secretariat, and other leaders.
All 150 delegates and guests from the ten municipalities in Ciego de Avila, who represent various sectors of society, analyzed the fulfillment of the Ideas, Concepts and Guidelines of the organization’s Congress last year, among other issues.
For example, the role of the PCC to increase economic efficiency in production or service centers, ideological political work, the policy on cadres and the internal functioning of the organization.
Likewise, the debates focus on food production, the economic battle and the rescue of the sugarcane program, a traditional and strategic sector for the country due to what it represents, not only the production of sugar cane, but also its byproducts.
The role played by young people is another important issue on the assembly’s agenda, since they are the ones who mark the continuity of the Revolution and they have demonstrated it by participating in food production, services, the battle against Covid-19 and other tasks.
