Panama prepares new trade fairs for 2023

Panama City, March 28 (Prensa Latina) After the success of international trade, logistics and tourism fairs held in Panama, the organizing committee announced today that it is preparing a new edition of these meetings for 2023.

According to a report from the main business association of the isthmus, the Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture, the three exhibitions held this week registered transactions for some 127.7 million dollars.

They also detailed that in these appointments businessmen from 32 countries appreciated new opportunities, as well as some 13 thousand national visitors and more than two thousand foreigners, who made more than nine thousand business contacts.

Between the three exhibitions, this time in person after two years of the Covid-19 pandemic, 850 companies from the three sectors of America, Europe, Asia and Africa participated, distributed over more than 16 thousand square meters in the Center of Amados Conventions, inaugurated last October.

Among the countries participating in this 38th edition of Expocomer, Germany, Argentina, Barbados, Brazil, Colombia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, El Salvador, Spain, the United States, France, Guatemala, Guyana and Honduras stand out.

Exhibitors also attended from the Netherlands, India, Indonesia, Korea, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Poland, Puerto Rico, the Dominican Republic, China, Trinidad and Tobago, Turkey, and Venezuela.

For its part, version 14 of Expologística welcomed 100 exhibitors who presented the latest technological and innovation trends in the sector.

While in Expoturismo, in its eleventh edition, 138 companies participated, obtaining contracts by more than 150 buyers from Germany, Argentina. Brazil, Canada, Colombia, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, El Salvador, United States, France, Germany, Guyana, Mexico, Paraguay, Peru and Spain.

Opening these events, the president of Panama, Laurentino Cortizo, affirmed that they would be another proof of what can be achieved together, thinking about the well-being of the country, alluding to the alliances between public and private companies; and the joint work of the Executive and the productive sector.
