In his Monday press conference, the expert detailed that in the seven days up to Saturday, the number of infections exceeded the previous week by 1,810, with the highest concentration in the provinces of Ciego de Avila, Sancti Spiritus, Camagüey, Villa Clara and Mayabeque.
During March, 16,925 patients have been diagnosed with this coronavirus, about 6,900 less than in February and an average of 650 each day.
Cuba has thus reached 1.088 017 cases of Covid-19 since March 11, 2020.
So far, 4,018 remain hospitalized, of which 3,994 have a stable clinical evolution, while 6 are in critical condition and 18 are in serious condition.
During the third month of the year, 14 people died from complications associated with the pandemic, three in each of the three previous weeks and one yesterday.
