In his message, he recalled that 32 years ago the first victims of the nuclear accident that occurred in today’s Ukraine were received by Fidel Castro, as part of a program in which more than 26,000 people were treated between 1990 and 2016.

According to figures from the Cuban Ministry of Public Health, during that period more than 70,000 consultations were held in 20 medical specialties, using several medicines produced by Cuban biotechnology.
