Leaders of the solidarity organization visited the Eusebio Leal Spengler House in Havana’s historic heart, where they met with authorities from the Office of the Historian of the City, where new proposals for editorial cooperation and cultural exchange were evaluated.
A Facebook message from CubaCoop said that during the meeting they expressed their intention to develop a tribute to Eusebio Leal at the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) and to renew the existing collaboration agreement between both institutions, which has one of the most important expressions in the Victor Hugo House in Havana.
Perla Rosales, deputy director general of the Office of the Historian of the City, was present at the meeting on behalf of the Cuban side, as well as its founding president, Roger Grevoul, President Victor Fernandez and Vice President Michel Humbert, representing the French solidarity organization.
Before leaving for Cuba, CubaCoop told Prensa Latina that among the purposes of the visit are to explore the possibility of French companies to sell food to Cuba and to review the progress of cooperation projects with the National Institute of Hydraulic Resources of Cuba.
The agenda of the visit, which will last until April 7, includes the project to host Cuban athletes in France for their preparation for the Paris-2024 Olympic Games.
