We would like to reaffirm our commitment to Puerto Rico’s pro-independence cause and its fight against colonialism, an affair of all people who love freedom and justice, the president tweeted.
The Puerto Rican delegation, which was received at the Palace of Revolution, was headed by MINH Co-President Julio Muriente.
Previously, the Puerto Rican independence supporters had met with the director general of Multilateral Affairs and International Law, Rodolfo Benitez, at the headquarters of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MINREX).
Both parties reaffirmed the brotherly historic ties between both peoples, according to MINREX.
Cuba also ratified “the invariable commitment and firm support” for the resolution on Puerto Rico’s colonial status, adopted by the United Nations Special Committee on Decolonization every year.
