“Good day, Cuba! I am on my way to the beautiful Cienfuegos. We will be there with Prime Minister Manuel Marrero and the Council of Ministers on a government visit. First, I will visit the 14 de julio sugar factory, the first mill that has fulfilled its sugar production plan, an example for this sector,” the president tweeted.

The head of State posted this tweet with the hashtag #VamosConTodo (Let’sGetToWork).

This is the third government visit to Cienfuegos, whose main city is located 245 kilometers southeast of Havana.

Marrero started his tour in Aguada de Pasajeros, the westernmost municipality in Cienfuegos, and was accompanied by Governor Alexandre Corona.

Prior to this governmental visit, Vice President Salvador Valdes had toured the Ciudad Caracas sugar factory and met with its workers. That mill has also fulfilled its sugar production plan.
