The event is scheduled for May 3 to 7 in the Varadero beach resort, which is one of the most important scenarios in Cuba for the travel industry.

The official said that the meeting will be held in a pole that includes citizen and biosanitary safety among the main attributes, both of that place and of the nation as a whole, Cubasi portal informed.

He said that the great commitment is that the Fair is well, because if tourism grows, other entities and economic activities of the territory and the country are linked.

He said that tourism is the locomotive of the national economy, so in this province there is a great purpose to develop it, while he recalled that last November 15 Cuba opened its borders to leisure travel.

He pointed out that with that opening, new tourist products also emerged in the Varadero beach resort, and a portfolio of options tempered to the sanitary protocols against Covid-19, for the sake of healthy vacations.

He concluded that Varadero currently has 43 hotels in operation, with 78 percent of the rooms available on that beach.
