According to an official press release from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the agenda includes meetings with her peers from each nation as well as with other high-level political authorities to promote exchange in fundamental sectors that have influence on Panama’s economic growth and sustainable development.

The communiqué stated that Mouynes was received in Beijing by her counterpart, Wang Yi, and the delegation held a meeting with the Chinese counterpart to study the certification process of pork processing plants, which will facilitate trade between the two nations.

On April 5 and 6, Mouynes will visit Vietnam, where she will meet with Foreign Minister Bui Thanh, and at that meeting, she will invite the Government of that Asian country to open a trade office in Panama.

On April 7 and 8, the head of Panamanian diplomacy will be received in Indonesia by her counterpart, Retno Marsudi, with whom she will discuss the possibility of establishing channels of contact with the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), based in Jakarta.

Finally, on April 11 and 12, the Panamanian minister will travel to Singapore for an audience with Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong, as well as a meeting with Foreign Minister Vivian Balakrishnan.
