During a speech before his supporters after proclaiming his victory in the first round of the presidential elections, Vucic affirmed that Serbia is on the path to joining the European Union but keeps good relations with its neighbors.

Serbia did not agree to join the sanctions imposed by the West and the European Union against Russia after the launch of the special military operation against Ukraine.

Three elections took place in Serbia on the 3rd: the presidential elections, the early legislative elections, and the elections for local governments in Belgrade, Bor and a dozen other municipalities.

Vucic was declared victor in the first round with a support around 60 percent.

Vucic’s Serbian Progressive Party, obtained over 40 percent of the support, which will allow him to form a new government.
