According to the Minsap website, 10,637,288 citizens received one dose of homegrown vaccines, 9,393,244 have already received the second shot and 9,076,648 the third dose.

Thus, Cuba has administered 35,447,065 doses of the Cuban-made Soberana 02, Soberana Plus and Abdala vaccines.

In addition, 6,339,254 people have received the booster dose, according to the Minsap report.

Cuba’s homegrown vaccines are safe and without serious adverse effects, according to successful clinical trials and the vaccination of different segments of the population.

The strategy is implemented gradually in order to achieve greater protection against new variants of the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus.

According to Cuba’s National Statistics and Information Office, in late 2020, the Cuban population was about 11,180,000 inhabitants.
