During a meeting on the pandemic´s management and prevention, the Minister of Public Health, Jose Angel Portal, reported that at the end of March, this disease´s transmission in the country decreased by 21% compared to February.
He also indicated that in the last two weeks Cuba reported 10,672 patients.
According to a TV report, in that period six provinces registered an incidence rate above the national average: Mayabeque (western Cuba), Ciego de Avila, Camagüey, Sancti Spíritus, Villa Clara (central Cuba) and Las Tunas (eastern Cuba).
Due to the immunization´s high rate regarding Covid-19 and the number of diagnosed patients´ decrease, the island adopts relaxation measures.
In this regard, the country will no longer require PCR tests and proof of a complete anti-Covid-19 vaccination schedule for international travelers arriving in the country.
