A Palestinian security spokesman told the official Wafa news agency that 12 people were detained last night in the vicinity of Damascus Gate, one of the eight entrances to the Old City of Jerusalem.
That area has been the epicenter of nightly demonstrations for the past five days by thousands of Palestinians.
According to the source, two other minors were arrested in the Jerusalem neighborhood of Beit Hanina.
Soldiers arrested three more in the territory of Hebron and another in Nablus, in the southern and northern West Bank, respectively.
Israelis also apprehended several Palestinians in Qalquilia, Tulkarem and Jenin governorates.
