The Foreign Ministry official drew attention on the fact that in its relations with Havana, Moscow prioritizes the transport, energy, metallurgy, agriculture and tourism sectors.

He recalled that cooperation between the two countries has “a long history,” based on “partnership and mutual support”. They have relations of true friends and strategic partners, he said.

Regarding the United States economic, commercial and financial blockade against Cuba, Schetinin noted that such measures are an example of “hypocrisy and duplicity of foreign policy” on the part of Washington, which tries to build the world “according to its models”.

Interviewed in recent days by Prensa Latina news agency and Telesur channel, he mentioned that a group of countries is seeking to build the world according to their own rules and turn international affairs into a hostage of their internal political considerations and interests.
