Amid the tightening of the US economic, commercial and financial blockade against Cuba and the effects of two years of pandemic, the development of agriculture is a strategic need for Cuba and thus, this conference is vital, president of the Cuban agricultural business group, Frank Castañeda, said.
Meanwhile, the chair of the United States Agricultural Coalition for Cuba, Paul Johnson, commented that agriculture is the most important side of ties between both countries, but we need and can do more.
The conference, which will be held at the Valentín Fifth Avenue Hotel for two days, will include technical tables between Cuban and American businesspeole on production and trade of agricultural products, milk, wheat, beverages and liquors, rice, corn and beans, among others.
