This year, the World Health Day is drawing attention on how health is having an impact on humans as environmental problems are increasing worldwide, the UN official website noted.

According to a recent report by the World Health Organization (WHO), 99 percent of the world population inhales polluted air, thus increasing the number of cases of respiratory diseases.

It pointed out that after overcoming the Covid-19 pandemic, it is unacceptable that seven million people die of preventable diseases and countless of years of good health are lost due to the atmospheric situation.

The study included over 7,000 cities from 117 countries and is the largest database on nitrogen dioxide concentrations, a very common urban pollutant.
