He recalled that before the foreign economic sanctions that led to the stop of airplanes’ supply from other countries, Russian airlines were planning to buy 80 to 1,000 airplanes a year only to renew their fleet.
Sliusar explained that UAC also intends to increase production of the SSJ100 model to 30 units a year, although from the technological view, the company can manufacture up to 40, including Russian components.
“All will depend on the market requirements. So far, airlines said that they will need at least 150 other airplanes in the new market structure to meet the demand,” he stated.
The State Corporation to Promote the Development, Production and Export of High-Tech Industrial Products (Rostec) said that UAC also plans to make 70 Tu-214 airplanes by 2030.
