According to the report from the military spokesman, Major General Igor Konashenkov, three multiple rocket launching systems facilities were also shot down, as well as eight drones, 49 bases and areas of concentration of enemy military equipment.
He explained that in the early morning hours, using high-precision missiles, the Russian forces eliminated the barracks and the accommodation center of the nationalist battalion Dnepr, located in the locality of Zvonetskoye, in the Ukrainian province of Dnepropetrovsk.
The military commander explained that the base of that battalion recently received foreign mercenaries.
Russia launched a military operation in Ukraine on February 24, after authorities of the self-proclaimed Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics requested its help to repel increased aggression and intense shelling by Kiev.
According to the Russian Defense Ministry, the attacks are not directed at the Ukrainian population or Ukrainian cities, but against the country’s military infrastructure.
