The cumulative total since the disease’s outbreak amounted to 10,250,160 cases, but Monday’s figure is the lowest since February 8, and raises hope for an early recovery of Vietnam’s economic and social life.

Vietnam, is making progress in its efforts to achieve collective immunity through vaccination and more than 85 percent of its 98 million inhabitants have completed the two-dose vaccination scheme, while 55 percent have received a booster dose.

As time goes by, the experts’ opinion is reinforced, according to whom Covid-19 should already be declared endemic, because the number of hospitalizations, severe cases and deaths is low compared to the worst moments of the pandemic.
