On its Twitter account, the Cuban Foreign Ministry on Monday reiterated the willingness to continue developing the ties of friendship and cooperation between the two countries.

Cuba thanks Malta for its support every year for the United Nations General Assembly resolution in favor of the end of the United States economic, commercial and financial blockade against the Cuban people. Both nations signed a memorandum of understanding for closer relations and collaboration in New York City on September 26, 2019, in the context of the high-level segment of the 74th session of the United Nations.
