According to the Ministry of Public Health (Minsap), 6,602 patients are in hospitals or at home, 3,886 of whom are suspected cases, 47 are under epidemiological surveillance, and 2,669 patients are active cases.
Some 476 patients, according to Sunday’s update, were positive cases; 12 were infected abroad, and the source of contagion could not be determined in eight of them.
In addition, 596 patients were discharged, so the number of recovered patients rose to 1,086,086 (99 percent of all positive cases).
There are still 2,660 active patients; 2,638 have a stable clinical evolution, and 31 are in intensive care units: nine in an critical state and 22 gravely ill.
The province with the highest incidence of cases on Monday was Mayabeque, in western Cuba (81).
Cuba has reported 1,097,333 Covid-19 cases since March 11, 2020, and the death toll has risen to 8,519.
