During a telephone conversation, Egyptian President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi and President of the European Commission, Ursula Von der Leyen, agreed to jointly work in spheres such as energy and food security, Presidential Spokesman Bassam Rady said in a statement.
Last week, the EU announced that it will grant Egypt a 100-million-euro subsidy due to the increase in food prices after the outbreak of this conflict
The announcement of the subsidy came two days after Egypt called on France, the current president of this bloc, to provide assistance.
During the talks between El-Sisi and Von der Leyen, both parties favored increasing bilateral relations.
