The president offered the nearly final figures of the popular consultation in which 16,392,000 citizens participated, a high figure in comparison with other elections and with the obstacles imposed by the National Electoral Institute (INE), so that people could not find the few polling stations that were available.

He won 91 percent of that total, more than 14,800,000 votes that he got in the 2006 presidential elections, which he won against Felipe Calderon, but which Calderon stole despite getting much less, he said.

Therefore, he added, when analyzing this consultation, they should take into consideration that not all 160,000 polling stations were installed, but more or less one-third of those in 2018, when he won the elections to replace Enrique Peña Nieto.

The President, supported by statistics and official figures with more than 99 percent of the ballots counted, showed a resounding victory and how people managed to overcome the tests to give an excellent demonstration of democracy.
