On his Twitter account, the minister highlighted the holding of this event, which is dedicated to teacher Ramona de Saa, who has trained several generations of dancers and is one of the most prominent figures of dance pedagogy for decades.
Slated until April 20, the cultural event will promote dialogue among experts, scholars, students and professional dancers from several countries and will allow sharing experiences on technical and conceptual teaching.
Announced by the National Center of Art Schools and the National Ballet School, the meeting will target students in the juvenile, intermediate and advanced categories and, for the first time, it will include a modality dedicated to children.
The agenda also includes classes and lectures in the mornings, optional workshops in the afternoons and on April 12, the Marti Theater, in Old Havana, will host the opening gala, which will be dedicated to the 60th anniversary of the National School of Arts (ENA).
That institution will hold the competition in different sections and the ceremony of the laureates, and on April 20, organizers are planning a grand parade along Prado Street with the participants in the 27th International Meeting of Ballet Academies.
