Addressing a traders’ delegation visiting Islamabad, Malik praised Pakistan’s decision to allow imports and exports under barter trade with the two neighboring countries, according to Pajhwok news agency, from Afghanistan.

Malik pointed out that barter trade has a huge importance in terms of regional trade connectivity and boosting foreign exchange.

A special counter was set up at the headquarters of the Saarc Chamber to facilitate the work of traders from member countries, especially Afghanistan.

The Saarc is a regional association of eight countries, of which Afghanistan became the latest member in April 2007.
