The Cuban Baseball Federation (FCB) acknowledged that this event is the natural competitive venue for Cuba, because it is one of its founders and respects its history and competitiveness.

In this regard, FCB President Juan Reynaldo Perez recalled that the Cuban Baseball Federation requested to integrate the CBPC during the six editions in which it was invited to the series between 2014 and 2019, without achieving this goal.

At a press conference at the Latin American Stadium in Havana, Perez considered that it is important to take this step in order to strengthen ties with national federations and leagues in the region to pinpoint all feasible areas of collaboration.

After over 50 years of absence since it last participated, Cuba returned to the Caribbean World Series in 2014 as a guest, something that was joyfully welcomed by baseball fans.
