According to a tweet from the foreign minister, that heroic event “marked the historic evolution of the Bolivarian Revolution forever, restored Commander Chavez at the helm of the Government and defeated the imperialist pretensions.”

Today, Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel recalled the event and noted that Cuba celebrates this date together with Venezuela.

He also emphasized that the attempted coup aimed to plunge Venezuela into an opprobrious past.
