The president stressed that the work of these professionals has been decisive, particularly in times of Covid-19.
“I congratulate and send my regards to Cuban psychologists on National Psychology Day on April 13. Your work, essential for personal well-being and social development, has been particularly decisive at this time of pandemic. We still count on you,” he tweeted.
Cuba’s National Psychology Day was instituted in 2004, and April 13 was chosen to celebrate the birthday of Enrique Jose Varona (1849-1933), author of a significant work in the fields of philosophy, sociology, psychology and education, and considered one of Latin America’s greatest thinkers.
