Salvadoran deputy urges for closer collaboration with Cuba

San Salvador, Apr 13 (Prensa Latina) Salvadoran Deputy Bladimir Barahona on Wednesday called for closer collaboration with Cuba, particularly granting educational scholarships to contribute to developing the Morazán Department.

Mr. Barahona, of the ¨Nuevas Ideas¨ ruling party, met on Wednesday with the Cuban ambassador to El Salvador René Ceballo, and during the meeting both officials praised the historic cooperation and support relations between both nations. “We´ve talked about different scholarship programs for training Salvadoran professionals in Cuba and we are grateful to them; hoping that more openings will soon open up for the young people of our beloved Morazán department,” the Salvadoran deputy tweeted.

Cuban ambassador told Prensa Latina News Agency he shared with Mr. Barahona about both nations´ realities, significance of bilateral cooperation as well as the impact of scholarships granted by Cuba to the Salvadoran people to train health professionals.
