On Twitter, the Presidency noted that this is one of 11 communities in Boyeros municipality where they are working, and specified that the sanitary and hydraulic networks of 114 houses, where 2,132 people live, are being attended to.

Among the main social challenges in the area are the incorporation to the work of young people between 16 and 30 years of age.

After talking with the population and listening to the explanation of what is being done in the neighborhood, Diaz-Canel referred to the concept of “progressive transformation.”

“We have to participate and support, because this is everyone’s work, and it is for the better,” he added.

Transformation in Cuba’s vulnerable communities and dialogue with several sectors of society are part of the work strategies being implemented by the Government.

On several occasions, the president has called to systematize and strengthen work in order to improve the population’s quality of life on the basis of the correct use of the resources allocated in the budget for social programs.
