In statements to Pagina 12 newspaper, Moreau questioned a communiqué of AmCham, the Bar Association of Buenos Aires and the Institute for Business Development, which demands that the Council ought to be managed by the Supreme Court.
Such option is defended by opposition alliance Juntos por el Cambio. The FdT considers it an institutional coup.
“Tell me who defends you and I will tell you who you represent. The participation of the AmCham is an inadmissible interference and shows which are the alliances that are articulated to confront the interests of society as a whole,” Moreau stressed.
The congressman explained that this position is defended by authoritarian sectors represented by the Bar Association, which at the time supported the 1976 coup d’état, and economic groups with direct participation of US companies.
Furthermore, he denounced that the Court intends to obtain the control of the Council in order to guarantee the continuity of individuals who ensure the impunity of doctrines of former president Mauricio Macri.
