In a telephone call with his Iranian counterpart, Hossein Amirabdollahian, on Monday night, Muttaqi said Afghanistan would ensure the security of Iran’s missions, Pajhwok news agency reported.
Amirabdollahian said Iran has hosted and provided services to millions of Afghans over the past four decades and deplored the disturbing developments as a result of propaganda spread on social media by the enemies of both countries.
Iran has always adopted a positive and constructive approach toward Afghanistan by sending humanitarian aid and expects the new rulers in Kabul to ensure the security of its diplomatic missions, the diplomat added.
Muttaqi hailed Iranian assistance and assured all possible efforts to expand bilateral relations.
