Asian forum examines China’s post-pandemic economic recovery

Beijing, Apr 20 (Prensa Latina) The Boao Forum for Asia - known as the Asian Davos - began its annual conference in Hainan, southern China, with thousands of delegates who analyze the global economic recovery after the Covid-19 pandemic.

According to the planned schedule, the meeting will last until Friday and will bring together representatives of foreign governments, former officials, heads of international groups, politicians, academics and businessmen in face-to-face and virtual meetings.

Chinese President Xi Jinping will deliver a speech on Thursday at the official opening ceremony, and Vice Premier Han Zheng will lead a number of activities at the event.

The conference agenda will include the discussion of regional and international economic development after the end of the pandemic, focused on “green, innovative and collaborative” growth.

It will also seek to reconcile projects that promote solidarity, trust and cooperation while the planet strives to leave the health crisis behind.

The Boao Forum for Asia is a non-profit organization created in 1998 and an important platform that brings together experts from this and other regions every year to share their views on pressing issues on the global scene.

In 2020, it did not hold its annual conference to support China’s fight against Covid-19, with the pandemic forcing the suspension of multiple national and international events.
