In a statement, this political force denounced the killing of several civilians, among them four minor children on the road from Santodomingo to Puerto Rondón, other people´s crimes in Saravena and the assassination of Wilmer Hernández, community leader of Puerto Miranda, Tame, in the region of Arauca.

All this is a hard blow to the efforts of the popular movement, of the Human Rights organizations and the political forces that seek to achieve peace and respect for life on the border with the sister Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, it emphasized.

He pointed out that the crimes against unarmed citizens have multiplied in the midst of the intense militarization of the department by the national government.

The attitude of the authorities encourages the permanence of the state of war, the hegemonist and ultra-sectarian postures that claim to see as enemies the fighters of the people like Wilmer, the Communist Party emphasized.

It warned that in an irresponsible manner they are trying to legitimize the policy of death and to make it appear as confrontations between armed actors when unarmed civilians continue to die.
