This training course, which began on February 17, was targeted at specialists from companies and central government agencies involved in foreign trade, lawyers from collective law firms and professionals who have participated in international arbitration courts.
Among the topics addressed were the global business scenario, main stockholders, contractual places, means to solve disputes, coordination of adequate advice and minimum requirements to deal with a conflict.
The initiative was sponsored by the Chamber of Commerce of the Republic, the Cuban Court of International Commercial Arbitration, the Faculty of Law of the University of Havana (UH), and the Cuban Society of Commercial Law of the Union of Cuban Jurists.
The closing ceremony of the Course on the Introduction to International Business Law was attended by the ministers of Justice, and Foreign Trade and Foreign Investment, Oscar Silvera and Rodrigo Malmierca, respectively.
The ceremony was also attended by UH Rector Miriam Nicado and Dr. Rodolfo Davalos, president of the Cuban Court of International Commercial Arbitration at the Chamber of Commerce of the Republic of Cuba.
