Russia imposes sanctions on 61 senior Canadian officials

Moscow, Apr 21 (Prensa Latina) Russia banned entry to the country to 61 Canadians indefinitely who participated in the formulation, justification and application of measures by that government against Russia, the local Foreign Ministry reported on Thursday.

The list includes senior executive officials, active and retired military personnel, representatives of the think tank community and media representatives involved in the implementation of Ottawa’s Russophobic policy, the statement said.

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the decision was made due to continuous sanctions against this country imposed by Canadian authorities, which include the prohibition of entry into Canada and other measures against Russian officials, soldiers, experts and journalists.
