Medical sources at the Ibn Sina hospital in the city of Jenin announced the death of Lutfi Ibrahim Labadi, 20, from the nearby village of Yamoun.

The official Wafa news agency reported that Prime Minister Muhammad Shtayyeh offered condolences to young man’s parents on behalf of the government.

According to a report published by Prensa Latina based on official Palestinian data, at least 12 people, including two women and three minors, have lost their lives on the West Bank since the beginning of an offensive by the occupying forces two weeks ago.

Tel Aviv presented the military operation as a response to an attack carried out days earlier by a Palestinian from Jenin, which killed three Israeli civilians and the assailant.

The Health Ministry recently revealed that 355 Palestinians were killed and 16,500 received wounds and injuries by Israeli forces in 2021.

Israel’s operation coincides with Ramadan, the holy month of Muslims, and the daily incursions that its forces have maintained since April 15 against the Esplanade of the Mosques, in East Jerusalem, provoked harsh criticism from both the Palestinians and the Muslim world.
